Carnegie’s Maid A Novel by Marie Benedict
Carnegie’s Maid is a good story. I’m not trying to deny that. But there’re a whole bunch of buts soaring out. I’ve never been crazy about cinderella-and -her prince stories. The poem/drama-and-tear-and-love? It’s more than peculiar and awkwardly unimaginative anyway. Isn’t there a better way to single out the cinderella-girl ?
