The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane by Kate DiCamillo
This little book is honestly a surprise. I thought it’s just a fantacy adventure of a toy for kids, yet it turned out as a marvelous half life of Edward, the rabbit who hates to be referred as “it”. His life was a quite bitter one. He encountered different persons and was treated with cruelty or with love. Pretty much alike The Little Prince, but in a rather sad way. It’s weirdly relieved to find out that sweet and sad can intertwine just fine.
