Juliet’s Nurse by Lois Leveen
Audio boo by Nicola Barber
The author’s note is the highlight of this book, I should really have listened this 5 mins first and foremost.
Here is this Juliet, stupid and selfish, and this Romeo who is plain looking and plotting against House Cappelletti. A fascinating adaption from Shakespeare’s Juliet, but surely Shakespeare’s Juliet isn’t a real person. Yet I find this foolish Juliet is brutally real, and set very comfortably in the timeline.
