The War

Pax  by Sara Pennypacker
Audio book by Michael Curran-Dorsano

I thought Pax might be a relaxed and cherry young adult reading, while it turned out to be anything but. The war is hanging on every creature. Everyone is doomed. Everything is doomed. The last paragraph is the highlight, suddenly the scene on the cover, the boy and the fox’s journey, they all made sense. It made the whole book a lot more readable.

Reminds me of Anna and the Swallow Man

I like Anna better since it made me less anxious about who is gonna die and die in what unexpected and cruel way. In all Anna was more imaginative.
