Surviving 7.8 – New Zealanders Respond to the Earthquakes of November 2016 by Phil Pennington
I‘ve never been in an earthquake until the 7.8 magnitude Kaikoura Earthquake. Still it feels good to know stories of other persons who live in the same city and went through the same earthquake as I did. For me the most unpleasant memory is those noises coming from everywhere, the sailing, the folding door in washroom, the kitchenware. Roads were said to be jammed by evacuating vehicles. I can still remember that news poured at dawn, along with so much chaos and care.
