It was miserable for childhood of the twins and practically miserable destinies for everyone in the book. Well, come to think of it, as always, the things that appears to be alien, miserable beyond one’s imagination would fit into the label ” pathetic exotic ones”easily. Books and movies displays these stereotyped societies basically become popular among foreigners much easier. Mostly of these stories are partly true, and fit just perfectly into the imagination of the ignorant readers who desperately need proof to convince themselves, unconsciously I believe, the superiority of their time and living and whatever. Pure prejudice.
