My Year of Rest and Relaxation by Ottessa Moshfegh
Audiobook by Julia Whelan
Eileen the thin, blonde, pretty, privileged, rude, selfish girl suffers utterly depression. This odd book is about her one whole year swinging from sleeping, getting pills, and sleeping black out again. Reva is just a too typical trying-desperately-to-fit-in kind of girl who lives an absurd Manhattan life. I even suspected that Reva might be a second personality or something like that. Honestly I don’t even know why I would pick such a dark, weird, bizarre book yet I have to admit it was a finished-in-one-setting.
